I just got a notification about new feedback, and logged into the website to read it. I noticed that I had *also* received a new hosting request, but I did not receive any email notification about the request. I checked my spam folder and it wasn't there either.
Is this a known problem? Is there a user setting that could have gotten flipped somehow? If I don't get email notifications about hosting requests I'll basically never end up hosting because I'm not constantly logging into the website, so this seems very bad.
This is happening to me too (since the website was revamped). I thought about editing my profile, but see my email address is there, so I don't know why I'm not receiving notifications by email. I don't have a smartphone, so can't download the app (if that would make a difference).

it is uite random. Two days ago i received three requests, two (one in the morning and one in the evening) had the email notification correctly and i could reply, the one in the afternoon i found only when going to look the profile for the third request in the day, finding that I had 2 unanswered messages.
Hoping youare able to fix it soon or provide a workaround. I suspect I'm encountering the same issue but in reverse as I have tried multiple times to contact a potential host, but received no reply back. Historically, (per reviews) they have a great track record for hosting and indicate they are available, so I have no reason to assume they are ignoring my host request or my email message directly in the app.

I hope this gets fixed soon. I am experiencing the same issue. I feel terrible that we did not reply to a request, but the request is not getting to my email. I am glad to see it is not just me. For the time being , I edited my profile and encouraged people to call directly. For us the touring season will be ramping up, and this issue certainly needs to get resolved.
I also receive no notification from cyclists who asked me if I can host them. My e-mail did not change, I did not change any parameter in my account, except I had to shorten the infos in my profile ; my navigator is reasonably updated (Firefox 125 for MacOS) . I hope this issue will be solved soon, it is a very important feature of Warmshowers.
