Which Eurovelo route to ride in August?

Hi all, I'll be arriving in Prague early August and and will be cycling to Chamonix in France approximately 2 weeks later. At the moment I'm tossing up between two routes:

- Eurovelo 7 to Italy then head west onto the Eurovelo 8 to France
- Eurovelo 7 to Austria then head west onto the Eurovelo 6 to France via Switzerland

Can anyone give me a recommendation either way? Would northern Italy be too hot in August that time of year?

From what I've read (so far) it sounds like EV8 has a few areas which are quite remote and (potentially) not much to look at while EV6 is a great trail but it can be a bit of a highway that time of the year with all the tourists.

Any advice would be great!

Cheers
