2020 World Tour

So I'm retiring in the Summer of 2020 at the old age of 60 and I want to see the World. I've done three tours, none lasting more than a couple of weeks. I'm thinking of just leaving out my front door(Edmonton, Canada) and heading South through the US. Through Mexico, Central America down to South America. Then it's Europe. I've always done my Touring alone. But going away this long, it would be nice to have some company. Anyone out there in a similar situation as I am? I'm a smell the roses kind of rider, love to camp. Eating is fun too. Who wants to go on an adventure and see the world?

Oh funny Brian, I see your

Oh funny Brian, I see your post on here. LOL. Enjoy your ride across Canada this summer and maybe we shall ride a bit next summer, same plan I have for 2020. Riding from my driveway at Pigeon Lake south to Mexican border and then maybe across to Florida. I’m a little frightened of riding into Mexico,

Hi Susan, I used to be scared

Hi Susan, I used to be scared of Mexico. No longer. The media over dramaticze everything. I've been watching videos of people retiring in Mexico and Colombia. I cannot wait Togo through those countries. I'm more scared of going through the US. I even am thinking of flying to San Diego and starting there.

Hi Brian, I’m thinking of

Hi Brian, I’m thinking of flying to Vancouver and starting the West Coast south from there, although when I rode Canada I started from Pigeon Lake and east so never had any mtn crossings. It may be cheating to skip them again. Lol.  The winter before last I spent a couple months in Peurto Vallarta and will again this winter, I guess there’s just some more dangerous places than others. I read people’s tours all the time and everyone seems to only praise.

Yep, like I said, I'm more

Yep, like I said, I'm more scared of riding in the US! I've ridden Edmonton to Vancouver twice now, I love riding through the Mountains. It's incredible. I'd like to do it again.
