2 touring bicycles for sale in Dushanbe

Hi there,

We are two Dutch cyclist having cycled the Pamir Highway from Osh to Dushanbe. We have now finished our cycling tour and are currently in Dushanbe. We intend to travel further, but without our bicycles. This means our bicycles are for sale here in Dushanbe. Maybe someone on Warm Showers is interested, as decent bikes are hard to get in Tajikistan.

The bicycles are a Koga Miyata 26 inch mountainbike and a Merida Matts 700 26 inch mountainbike. The Koga (high end dutch brand, hand built frame) has a Medium frame size. It comes with Shimano Deore Crank, SLX shifters and deraillers and Magura HS22 brakes. The Merida Matts is a large frame size. It comes with Shimano Deore Crank, shifters, front derailler, XT rear derailler and Magura HS11 brakes.

Both bikes have front suspension (Rock Shox Recon Air 100mm and SR Suntour 80mm).

Before we came to Tajikistan (1.500 km ago) we serviced both bikes and added front and rear pannier racks (racktime), new Schwalbe Marathon tires and tubes (no flat tires so far) and new saddles and seat posts. The Merida also got a new ballhead and new bottom bracket. We also provide two bicycle helmets with the bikes (Giro/Bell).

If you are interested, we'll be happy to provide more information and pictures. Just send an email (pfwjanssen@gmail.com) or a text message to our Tajik Phone number: 9000 48 290 (Megafone). We stay in Green House Hostel until after the weekend (3 september).

Kind regards,
Paul and Wieke
